Federació ACELL and Challenge Barcelona Triathlon renew their commitment to the “Triathlon Without Borders” project

For the second consecutive year, they join forces to prepare athletes with special needs

The ACELL Federation and Challenge Barcelona Triathlon have announced, for the second consecutive year, the collaboration in the social project “Triathlon Without Borders”. This initiative, financed by Fundació la Caixa , aims to include athletes from the ACELL Athletics and Swimming School in this prestigious competition.

For four months, the athletes participate in intensive training and adapted sessions, led by PROAM technicians , to prepare for the triathlon. This project also has the support of the Barcelona Sports Institute and underlines the commitment of the city of Barcelona to inclusion and sport for all people.

“Triathlon Without Borders” not only provides a unique experience to these athletes, but also makes visible the importance of inclusion in sport. The Challenge Barcelona Triathlon reaffirms the commitment to break down barriers and show that triathlon is accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities.

This project stands as an inspiring example of integration and overcoming, encouraging other sporting events to follow this path towards total inclusion. The collaboration between the ACELL Federation, the Fundació la Caixa and the Challenge Barcelona Triathlon shows that sport can unite people and overcome limits, breaking down borders for equality.
